How To Do The Seal In Pilates?
The Seal is a Classical Pilates exercise. Similar to the Yoga exercise "Crab" if it was performed with a rolling movement on back. The Seal is almost at the end of the Mat order. The rhythmic rolling give the spine a much needed massage.
Begin by sitting on the Mat with your legs bent. Then touch both palms together and dive your hands between your legs holding on to the outside of each heel lifting feet slightly off the Mat. Balance on sacrum then with control roll back onto shoulders, clap feet three times then roll up onto sacrum and clap feet three times. Beginners can leave out claps.
